After completing the 100 hour classical Mat EYT™ Pilates certification teens have:

An understanding of how to use Pilates to sustain a healthy life, in and out of dance.
The ability to teach Pilates at gyms, studios, or on college campuses right away — and get paid well for it.
I also include business skills training based on my 20+ years of experience as a professional dancer, teacher, and studio owner.
Why a Pilates course for dancers?
A dance background can be both an advantage and a challenge when transitioning into Pilates teaching.
Dancers come with exceptional body awareness and a natural feel for movement — but they also bring ingrained habits, dancer-specific language, and a tendency to frame Pilates through a dance lens. This can leave everyday clients feeling like they don't belong.
I understand the dancer mindset deeply, because I've lived it. My training is specifically designed to help dancers leverage what makes them gifted movers while unlearning the patterns that get in the way of great, accessible Pilates instruction.
The goal is a teacher your clients can relate to — whether they've ever set foot in a dance studio or not.
Not a dancer? You can still join any of my teacher training courses to become an EYT™ Pilates certified teacher. The dancer-specific workshops are an optional bonus component you can feel free to skip.
Our curriculum
I am an affiliate trainer for EYT™️ Pilates, an internationally recognized Pilates curriculum with a strong foundation in the classical system originally developed by Joseph Pilates.
The curriculum teaches the entire Pilates system through flexible modules and a hybrid of in-person and online remote learning. It is rigorous, complete, and exceeds industry standards for quality.

Upon successful completion of Classical Mat, graduates will be prepared to continue to work toward a comprehensive certification with EYT which includes reformer and all the apparatus — the gold standard.
What teacher training includes:
In-Person Seminars (16 hours)
Three seminars to learn the beginner, intermediate and advanced Pilates mat system.
Learn each exercise, teaching techniques, progressions and modifications to help your clients succeed.
Recordings are available for students unable to attend in person.
Observation and Practice
Practice what you learn in the seminar in your own body.
Observe other teachers’ classes at partner studios or online.
Practice teaching what you’re learning right away with friends, family, or fellow apprentices.
Observation and practice are self-paced with weekly checkins from me.

From Dancer Brain to Teacher’s Eye
Pre-recorded materials completed at your own pace and timing. Movement Fundamentals is required prior to seminar 1.
Assessment
Written test.
Practical assessment of skills including teaching and demonstrating the beginner and intermediate Pilates mat work.
In-person assessments will be scheduled upon completion of the study requirements. Video submissions are also an option.

Refund policy:
Tuition is non-refundable once paid.
Tuition must be paid in full to attend live seminars.
If tuition is not paid in full by seminar start date, the student will lose access to the online study materials.
Certification is not guaranteed. Participants must successfully complete the coursework and pass the evaluation to receive the certification. We make every effort to provide every student the assistance they need to successfully pass!
