After completing the 100 hour classical Mat EYT™ Pilates training you’ll have:

  • An impressive credential for a resume or job application.

  • An understanding of how to use Pilates to sustain a healthy life.

  • The ability to teach Pilates at gyms, studios, community centers or on college campuses right away — and get paid for it.‍ ‍

  • A certification recognized by studios around the world, including the NPCP

  • The opportunity to continue your Pilates journey with reformer and full apparatus modules in 2027.

About my curriculum

EYT™ Pilates is an internationally recognized Pilates curriculum with a strong foundation in the classical system originally developed by Joseph Pilates. Their tagline is “Not new. Not cool. Not assholes.”

Same. I’ve been doing this a long time. I’m distinctly unhip and not trendy. And I believe in leading from a place of kindness, generosity, and curiosity.

I’m honored to be the first to bring the EYT™ curriculum to studios in Rochester, Buffalo and the Finger Lakes.

At EYT, we teach the entire Pilates system through flexible modules and a hybrid of in-person and online remote learning. It is rigorous, complete, and exceeds industry standards for quality.

Graduating from EYT Pilates also qualifies you to sit for the National Pilates Certification Program, accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.

What teacher training includes:

In-Person Seminars (16 hours)

  • Three seminars to learn the entire classical Pilates mat repertoire.

  • Learn regressions, progressions and adaptions for specific populations.

    Recordings are available.

Self-Paced Practice

  • Practice what you learn in the seminar in your own body.

  • Observe other teachers’ classes at partner studios or online.

  • Practice teaching what you’re learning right away with friends, family, or fellow apprentices.

Observation and practice are self-paced with weekly checkins from me.

Online or In-Person Workshops

  • Movement Fundamentals

  • Burnout Prevention

  • Business Skills

Assessment

  • Written test.

  • Practical assessment of skills including teaching and demonstrating the beginner and intermediate Pilates mat work.

    • 16 hours of in-person seminars

    • Recorded classes to use for personal practice

    • Observation hours at your host studio or with me online.
